The Yonder Ponder June/July 2021
Queer Climb
Thanks to everyone that came and joined the fun for the first of many Queer Climb evenings at Yonder. We’re already looking forward to the next on the 29th of July. You can register your interest if you’d like to come along on the link below. We are also using the events to talk about the experiences of LGBTQ+ climbers in London so head over to here to read our catch-up with Srishti Pasco - a trans man, climber and member of the Yonder team.
Off Peak Climbing
Got free time during the day? Why not climb for less!?
From the 1st of July we are offering a recurring off-peak membership for £39 and an off-peak climbing pass of 10 climbs for £70 with an expiration date of 3 month.
If you usually climb before 6pm Monday to Friday this is a great way to get a less busy wall and save some money. The last off-peak entry is at 4pm but if you want to come later than that you can pay a £4 top-up fee.
Intro Offers ENDING SOON!
If you are new to Yonder or have not yet had the chance to try out one of our Memberships or Pass Pack options, this is the last chance to buy one with our New member discount! All Pre-paid memberships are currently 10% off and we have also taken £10 off our 10 Pass Pack (passes expire after 3 months).
This offer ends on the 30th of June so don’t miss out, come in and ask our team this evening.
Unlimited Yoga | 50% Off Your First Month
Thank you everyone who joined us for our 21 days offer. If you'd like to continue getting your yoga, pilates, fitness or whatever else on, you can get our Unlimited Subscription for only £37.50 for the first month! That's a pretty great deal. With more classes coming up as we slowly move towards normality, we will have even more to offer you in the months coming up.
Yonder Hang-Outs
You’ve found your favorite new activity, you’ve done an induction, maybe even picked up a new pair of shoes, but now you’re not sure what to do next!!
Every Friday evening we’ll be running our Yonder Hang-Out session where you’ll get to climb with members of our team and other new climbers, pick up a few tips, and have a great time. The session kicks off at 7.15pm, so head up to the training area and warm up before the session starts, and then meet the member of our team at reception.
The fun doesn’t stop when the climbing stops, after the session the group will be heading to the bar for a refreshing drink and to get to know each other some more.
The session doesn’t cost anything extra on top of your normal entry but you do need to book as we’re still operating on a limited capacity.
Gym Equipment Induction + Personal Training
On weekends, we'll have a Personal Trainer available to give you an introduction to the gym space, so if you're not sure how to use the weights and want to start training, we've got you covered.
Whether you’re training to knock off the next grade, bulk up or slim down, or just because it feels good, our qualified PT will take you through safety and best practice to get you on your way.
Book a Session With a PT
Coming back to climbing was never going to be easy and you might be willing to put the work in but not sure where to start. A private session with a PT is great way to focus on what you might be lacking to break through the plateau.
Each session is tailored to you, and includes exercises and routines to fit your needs.
G.L.O.W | The Gorgeous Ladies of Weightlifting
We are excited to announce that our women's weightlifting group is starting this month. If you've always wanted to feel confident using weights and various gym equipment, then this course is for you. In this 5 week course, Jax will take you through weighted circuits and resistance training, while building your strength and sculpting your physique. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate, there's always room to grow/glow! So whether you are a gorgeous lady or identify as one, you deserve to feel empowered and confident in a gym setting.
Sadly, our current 5 week course for July is full but if you are interested, register your interest using the link provided for future classes.
Face Mask policy Change
From the 1st of July you will now be able to remove your mask when you are climbing but will still be required to keep your mask on at all other times, including but not limited to when you are moving through the building, on the matted areas, and in communal areas such as the toilets or changing rooms. The move is to allow for greater comfort as the weather heats up and as the greater vaccination plan is still moving forwards. The decision to loosen the mask regulations is not one that we’ve taken lightly and we’ll be reviewing the change each week to reflect any changes in national and local guidance.
Our team will still be vigilant with enforcing social distancing, cleaning and ensuring people wear their mask correctly at all times other than when on the wall.
Please talk to our team for further details.

Unfortunately we can no longer be a long-term storage space for people’s bikes. If you have a bike here please come and collect it before the 5th of July when we will be donating any bikes left over to a local charity.
