COVID Update for after the 19th of July

We’re all about looking after our community of climbers, yogis, work-spacers and friends. To do this we would like everyone to stay vigilant when you are in the centre. Below is everything you need to know to stay safe at Yonder.

Booking System and Capacity:

  • We will continue to use the booking system to ensure that everybody has space to climb without being crowded by other climbers, a positive by-product.

  • We are slowly opening more spaces on each booking slot to monitor the effect it has on the feel of the building and so we can reverse any decision if we feel that it’s too busy/unsafe

  • We have purposefully kept the capacity lower than needed while we have been opening in the past 18 months.

Masks:

  • We will continue to actively encourage mask wearing in the centre, as along with social distancing, we feel that it does a lot to protect people while moving through the building.

  • We have recently started to allow climbers to pull down their masks while they are climbing, if they wish to.

  • This comes with encouraging social distancing and maintaining masks while in all other areas of the building.

Ventilation:

  • If you didn’t know, we have an incredible High Volume Air Conditioning unit in the building, which we will continue to run on clean air cycles while we are open

  • We regularly clean our filters and make sure that the system is working properly.

  • We are revamping our outdoor seating area so that people can enjoy the fresh air outside the building before and after their session.

Facilities:

  • We will be reopening our showers and changing areas.

  • Climbers are still encouraged to arrive ready to climb to avoid congestion in these areas.

  • Although not COVID related, we are in the process of making our toilet and changing areas gender neutral. Please respect people's privacy and personal space while using the facilities.

When will we be making further changes?:

We will be constantly monitoring all of the aforementioned changes in relation to changes in the R rate, positive cases in the local area and advice from scientific bodies.
