Meet the Boulder Buds

Hi there! I'm Mike and you'll probably see me bouncing around and smiling a lot. Been climbing for around 10 years and always love meeting new people on the wall or on the mats. I've tried to make it a habit of getting a bouldering tee-shirt from every bouldering gym I go to and in far flung cities and so far I've collected some from Melbourne and Seattle :)

My other great passion is board games and almost invariably will have some form of game in my bag. So if you fancy a game, do come say hi!

Ciao a tutti! As you can probably tell from my accent, I come from Italy, but I’ve lived in the UK for almost 10 years! I started climbing during my Erasmus (at first, ahem ahem, just to follow a guy I had a crush on haha), and then continued since then, quickly falling in love with both lead and bouldering! In Yonder, I truly found a new home thanks to the lovely community of running and climbing friends.

I struggle to sit still, so in my free time you will find me at Yonder, running in the wetlands (often with the Yonder Run Club!), doing yoga, or planning my next climbing trip! I love a good pizza, cooking and sour beers

Rossana She/Her

I've been climbing for 10 years, always bouldering because rope is waaay too much admin for my monkey brain. I love a climbing trip and I've been to Fontainebleau, Magic Wood, and Yosemite, as well as the UK's finest in Portland, Peak District, Hartland, and North Wales.

I work at ASOS where I'm also the Chair of the LGBTQ+ network, I'm one of the Queer Climbers London reps, a member of UK Para-climbing Collective, and you can always find me causing mischief and madness with The Beth Squad. Recently MHFA Certified (Mental Health First Aider) :)

I'm Lauren I was introduced to climbing when I was 18 and was instantly a fan I love bouldering, and am a big fan of a trad adventure day out (lots of type 2 fun)!

I love trying new sports! I recently took up Muay Thai, so that's been equal parts terrifying and thrilling! I'm also a big fan of baking, gaming and tennis - so come and find me if you want to chat about any of these topics that live rent free in my head!

I've been climbing for about 6 years now, started casually with friends and immediately became obsessed! Huge fan of outdoor climbing, especially Magic Wood, which is my favourite outdoor destination. I am massively passionate about brushing, and I come equipped with a variety of brushes to help you send your proj!

I work as a video editor in my day job, so always happy to film your sends! This community gave me so much, and I'm so glad I have the opportunity to give back myself!

I've been climbing on and off for about 2 years. Huge fan of chill, community oriented sports - you'll probably find me chatting on the side instead of high up the wall!

Outside of climbing, I can often be found playing a (not that competitive) game of footie with Queerspace FC, visiting your local cinema, or attempting to remember a song on piano!

Jazzy she/her

Started climbing back in 2017, was invited along by friends and was hooked. It became a big part of my life, and I love the community, spirit and atmosphere.

Outside of climbing, enjoy a variety of sports and can usually be found training for a run. When I am not training, can usually be found either planning a trip, with the cat or searching for beers to stock my home bar opened during lockdown dubbed “The Isolate Inn”.

I have been climbing for a little over a year, I'm all about the bouldering, I haven't got time for ropes and tying knots.

The thing I love about climbing and yonder is that you can be a climber that easily sends a V8 or be someone who doesn't even know what sending a v8 means!

All are welcome and all have fun, so come and say hi :)

Boulder Buds Hang Outs!

We invented the Boulder Buds sessions to help break down what we feel is one of the main barriers of climbing - how do I meet and join a new community of people?

Everyones first time climbing should be exciting, fun and shouldn’t feel too daunting.

Climbing is a social sport and when climbing with others you learn and achieve the most from a session, or most importantly - have a great time with friends.

Boulder Buds is a great way to meet new people upon joining a new gym - always have a friendly face to climb with and make some new friends along the way.
