Terms and Conditions of Use
All climbing activities have a risk of serious injury or death. Participants must recognise that even if they follow all good practice there may still be the risk of accident and injury. It is the responsibility of the participant to adhere to the conditions of use.
Report to reception on each visit before you climb.
You must exercise care, common sense and self-preservation at all times.
Report any problems with the walls, equipment or other climbers’ behaviour to a member of staff immediately.
Please be familiar with the location of all fire exits and assembly points.
Participants cannot climb whilst pregnant due to the increased risk to mother and child.
Please familiarise yourself with the Fire Exits / Corridor / Assembly points.
Never climb directly above or below another climber.
Always be aware of the other climbers and yogi’s around you and how your actions will affect them.
Refer to best practice signage and/or staff for specific area safety rules to ensure you are confident to use the facilities correctly.
You must exercise care, common sense and self-preservation at all times by making your own assessment of the risks whenever you climb and practice Yoga.
Stand well back from the climbing walls when not climbing.
Always climb within your capabilities and descend by down climbing or at the very least, a controlled fall.
The soft matting does not remove all risk but is designed to reduce the severity of injuries. Uncontrolled falls are likely to result in injuries to yourself or others.
Do not climb over the top of walls. Specific 'Top out' routes will be clearly indicated on the start hold and last hold.
Keep all belongings off the mat excluding chalk bags. This includes bottles, tape, clothing, bags, keys, phones etc.
The rules of Yonder are non-negotiable and in place for your own protection.
A registered ‘Unsupervised O16 Adult’ can supervise up to 2 ‘Supervised’ novice climbers.
You use the training equipment at your own risk. If you are unsure how to safely use any item, please ask a member of staff.
The ‘Moving Circuit board’ must not be used when a climber is on the wall or within close proximity of the wall itself. Please ask a member of staff if you are unsure of how to operate this equipment.
Our Duty of Care - The rules of the climbing centre set out below are not intended to limit your enjoyment of the facilities. They are part of the duty of care that we, as operators, owe to you, the customer, by law. As such they are not negotiable and if you are not prepared to abide by them then our staff must politely ask you to leave.
Your Duty of Care - You also have a duty of care to act responsibly towards the other users of the centre. Statements of ‘Good Practice’ are posted around the centre adjacent to the relevant facilities. These describe the accepted methods of use and how customers would normally be expected to behave towards each other.
