Registration and Payment Terms and Conditions
To partake in any activities at Yonder you must first have registered on our system, watched our safety video, signed the appropriate waiver and agreed to our Terms and Conditions of Use and Rules.
Unsupervised Over 18
Unsupervised climbing is just that! Staff will provide whatever help and advice they can, but instruction in the use of equipment or climbing techniques will only be provided where it has been booked and paid for in advance.
If a climber has never been climbing before we STRONGLY ADVISE booking into an introduction session.
Supervised Under 18
An adult who has registered at the centre may supervise up to two novice climbers aged 5-17 years.
This form must be filled out by an Over 18 Supervising Guardian and contain all the required information for that person and the Under 18 Child. This form must then be completed in full in all required fields and signed off by a member of Yonder Staff.
The Supervising Over 18 must be prepared to take full responsibility for the safety of the Under 18 climbers.
A single form must be filled out for each child, meaning the guardian must complete the form once for every under 18 child.
The Over 18 Guardian can supervise 2 x Under 18 novices between 5-17 years but is not allowed to climb.
A Family Induction must be completed to ensure safe supervision is ensured.
A Duty Manager can override the Family induction requirement if they are confident of the Supervisors climbing experience.
0-5 year olds are NOT allowed to climb, unless specifically signed off by a Duty Manager that is happy with the level of climbing experience shown by the Supervising Guardian. Please see Kids Policy section below for more information on this process.
Unsupervised Under 18
All children in the centre must be supervised by an adult unless they have been assessed by the management and registered for unsupervised climbing.
This unsupervised Under 18 option is only available to climbers aged between 14-18 years.
Parental/Guardian consent forms must be completed before any Under 18 is signed off to climb unsupervised. This form can be found on the website or at reception.
Some factors that make a climber eligible for the Unsupervised Under 18 assessment include:
GB Climbing Squad
NIBAS / NICAS
Any climbing centre squad or performance group
Known by a Yonder staff member to be climbing at a reasonably high level in a responsible manner and has at least more than 1 years climbing experience.
Parental/Guardian Consent Form
Parent/Guardian consent forms are required before any child (Under 18) can take part in any instructed activities. This is the case for in-house, freelance instructed sessions and when completing Unsupervised U18 forms.
In special circumstances, Under 18 year old climbers can be signed off as Unsupervised Under 18 climbers. As well as a specific assessment and Duty Manager sign off, a parent/guardian consent form must be completed before said Under 18 can climb unsupervised.
Yoga Only Waiver
It has been observed that not all Yogi’s want to complete the waiver for ‘Climbing and Yoga’, especially when the process will make them late for a class… Not what we want!
This process has been created to streamline this customer experience.
Yoga Only customers can now fill in a much quicker paper waiver at reception.
Ideally you the customer can Register and Book online before arriving at Yonder and our staff simply note that you are a Yoga Only customer.
This means your reception experience will be much smoother and we can get into your class with maximum Chi.
Pricing & Bookings
If you book on the phone, on the website, or by email, you will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions and the general information pages contained on our website.
To confirm your booking full payment must be made. Payment can be made by telephone, online or in person at the centre with credit or debit card.
We reserve the right to refuse any booking. Bookings are not transferable to another party.
On any booking, number of attendants must be confirmed. It is possible to amend the number of attendants with 24 hours notice, although we cannot guarantee that we can satisfy the changes.
Yonder will provide confirmation of online bookings via email. In the unlikely event that the requirements cannot be met after booking, the centre will contact the customer to make alternative arrangements.
The Manager reserves the right cancel a booking for reasons that are out of our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions for an outdoor activity).
Class / Session Cancellations: must be received 2 hours before all activities. If cancellation is less than 2 hours before the class starts, it is non refundable.
Workshops and course cancellations: must be 1 week before the start date of the session. If cancellation is less than 1 week before, the class is non refundable.
This policy is in place to deter customers from not turning up to any pre-booked event without any form of warning
Every time a client misses a class (without cancelling) a strike will be allocated to their account. If the client misses three classes, they will be locked from booking again. They will then be required to contact reception to offer an explanation and reactivate their account.
Freezing Monthly Memberships
It is possible to freeze the following memberships:
6 Month Memberships
12 month Memberships
These can be frozen ONCE per membership for a minimum of 1 MONTH and a maximum of 3 MONTHS.
We will request that you renew your registration to the centre at least every three years. This is to ensure that you have received, read and understood our Conditions of Use and Rules and to keep your personal information up to date. There is no additional charge for renewal of registration to the centre.
You must wear suitable clothing for the activity. This should allow easy movement and limit snagging potential.
